    In order to further exploit the resource advantages of rice industry in Hubei Province, to innovate in  development, to promote new processing technologies, to improve quality and efficiency, to optimize and upgrade rice industry, 2009 Hubei Rice Industry Development Forum, jointly organised with the  Grain Bureau of Hubei Province and Wuhan Polytechnic University, hosted by Hubei Province Rice Processing Engineering Technology Research Center, was held in an auditorium of Wuhan Polytechnic University on Aug 3, 2009.  

    At the meeting, new ideas and new ways of the development of rice industry in the present situation of new economic environment and grain markets were discussed in depth and processing technology on rice, by-product development, and workers' job skills training and so on were extensively exchanged . The experts and business representatives made speeches from National Cereal and Oil Information Center, Wuhan Polytechnic University, Wuhan Design Institute of the State Grain Administration, the Provincial Science and Technology Department and other units and departments. 

    Chairman and general manager Wang yongqiang, from Hubei Yongxiang Food Machinery Co., Ltd., attended the meeting and made a speech on exploration of rice processing technology at home and abroad at the meeting . Chairman Yongqiang, over a long period of practice in rice milling industry, set forth the development trend of modern rice processing enterprises with advanced milling process technology at home and abroad and modern rice processing technology in Thailand as well as reasonable selection of rice varieties.The viewpoint which focus on six key processing techniques in fabricating link, creating the brand of rice and comprehensively improve economic efficiency of enterprises was well recognized and appreciated by the leaders, experts and counterparts.
